Joe Schobert leads the AFC in tackles through 4 games

Browns linebacker Joe Schobert is off to a flying start in the new-look Cleveland Browns defense. The veteran is making the most of being one of two LBs who sees the field in Steve Wilks’ 4-2-5 scheme.

Through the first four games, no player in the AFC has notched more tackles than Schobert. No. 53 has made 44 total tackles to top the AFC. His 27 solo tackles are also the highwater mark for the conference.

Schobert helped launch himself to the top with a 17-tackle performance in the Week 4 win over Baltimore. He has played every Browns defensive snap this season.

Three NFC players have higher tackle totals, led by Arizona’s Jordan Hicks.
