Joe Schobert: Cleveland Browns can play with anyone – Jim Rome Show Live Interview
Joe Schobert took some time on Wednesday to speak with Jim Rome about the 2019 season.
One big takeaway was his belief the Cleveland Browns could compete with any team in the NFL.
Linebacker Joe Schobert had arguably the best game of his NFL career on Sunday, recording 17 tackles as the Cleveland Browns defeated the Baltimore Ravens. On Wednesday, he was a guest on the Jim Rome show and discussed that performance as well as his thoughts on what the team can do moving forward.
Schobert talked about teams that compete for Super Bowls being able to play their best football as the season goes on. His belief is that November and December football means more than what happens in September — and he’s absolutely right.
He also said he thinks the Browns are trending in the right direction and as long as they keep working together, they can compete with anyone in the NFL.
One of the main reasons he believes in this team is the quarterback, Baker Mayfield. When Rome brought up the way Mayfield can shake off a bad performance and get the job done, Schobert echoed that and said he is a “competitor till the last dying breath.”
From there, Rome went on to discuss the way the Ravens fans reacted when Nick Chubb reeled off an 88-yard touchdown to ice the Week 4 win.
